Winter Roundup.

It's been such a busy few months for us we can't believe its already 2017! Here's what we have been up to.....

We rounded the year off by getting behind one of our client Skanska's "Santa Appeal" We made a sizeable donation of toys to be handed out to children in the Evelina Hospital which is not only close to our Battersea Phase 1 project but a children's cardiac specialist. A group of volunteers got dressed up and boarded the "Santa Express Bus' before giving out the gifts. In total over 500 gifts and 220 goody bags were delivered by Santa during his visit. Our friends at Skanska commented,

"It was a wonderful day for all involved and it was great to bring a big smile to both the children in hospital but their parents and siblings."

Fantastic news we really enjoyed getting involved!

As our work on the Battersea Phase 1 is nearing completion we are delighted to announce that we have recently been awarded the Onsite Fire Protection Works contract for the new "22 Bishop Gate development" When finished it will be the second tallest building in London behind one of our previous contracts "The Shard" It's going to be a very exciting and challenging to be involved with judging by  the artists impression.

Our amazing new brochure is now complete and ready to be given out to both current and potential clients. We had high hopes with Potts Print but couldn't have wished for more. It really showcases all our hard work and the incredible projects we have been part of, we hope you agree - its certainly been read cover to cover by everyone coming into head office so far.

Our Tribe.

We are very pleased to announce that 6 new members of our team have now successfully finished their NVQs and are fully qualified in Fire Protection. We love seeing our staff progressing and being as highly skilled as possible it's where our "Integrity built in" all begins.

Finally we are excited to announce that we have rolled out Perkbox to all our employees at IPCL. If you haven't heard about Perkbox you should check it out here as its really cool but in a nutshell it gives "exclusive employee perks and big discounts from some of the UK’s biggest brands" Just another thank you to all our hard working staff for all they do and an added little "Perk" to IPCL - pun intended.

We are excited for what 2017 has to bring, stay tuned!

November Newletter

Another busy month has come to a close here at ipcl, we can't believe Christmas is just a few weeks away!

We are delighted that our new brochure is nearly completed, it really show cases our work and the amazing projects we have been part of, even from way back when. We are all really looking forward to it being delivered.

Work work work...

Our work on one of our top current projects the 'Battersea Power Plant' is now nearly complete. Its been very special to watch this building being restored so well, into a luxury accommodation and leisure development. There will be 800 apartments plus offices, as per our last newsletter "Apple" have announced their new HQ will be here, as well as a spa and even a theatre. Although we are nearly finished it won't actually be open to the public for some time but the properties will range from a studio flat at around £338,000 to nine penthouse flats with river views, priced at more than £6 million! All properties are already SOLD which is fantastic news and we hope the new owners like our handy work at its core.

Our project LSQ at Leicester Square is now completed and will be looking amazing very quickly no doubt. Its sometimes hard being the first people into a job as we are not as athletically pleasing as say the decorators, but its always a nice surprise to return when its completely finished.

Nissan.

Exciting news that we have started a big job closer to home at the Northern icon that is Nissan. We will be working on their new car painting facility. Our specialist work takes us around the country but it is always really nice to do local contracts.

We are also now an approved installer of our trusted insulation providers Rockwool which is great news and we are very proud to be now officially working along side them.

Good Staff....

Jess our lovely secretary has decided to up sticks and move to a new life in Cornwall. She will be missed but we wish her and her family the best of luck on the move.

Suzanne our new secretary has settled in so well as part of the ipcl team and has now been made permanent, she does make a mean brew though.

We are delighted that we have also taken on an apprentice to help at our new Nissan job, its always great to be able to pass on our skills and knowledge to new staff - welcome to the team Ibtahaz.

Fun times...

I don't know if it's the inner child Christmas spirit in us all but our Directors thought it would be a great idea to buy Nerf guns for Head office! It's certainly made things more interesting/fun especially on a Krispy Kreme high and a quick Nerf Gun war...is that a thing? It should be...everyone is on their toes now!

See you soon.....

October Newsletter

This month has been full of new arrivals starting with our fantastic new sign, even the gloomey northern weather won't stop it shining as it also fully lights up at HQ- ready for the darker winter months ahead.

Our lovely receptionist Kelsee had a beautiful baby girl on the called. Huge congratulations from all of us and we can't wait to meet her.

Some exciting news for one of our projects 'The Battersea Power Plant' It was announced that 'Apple' are going to be setting up their head Quarters here. Our fire proofing work continues on the buildings and it truly is an amazing project so we are not surprised in their choice. It's fantastic investment news for the UK and post Brexit investment. Great all round.

Work is continuing on one of our favourite places to people watch, only on break times though of course. '48 LSQ' is bang in the middle of Leicester Square and we are currently prepping it for plenty of new retail units. It will include most kids dream day out a McDonalds and a Lego store.

Head in the Clouds...

Telehouse project is nearly finished but we feel a bit like spy's whenever we visit site because it is one of the biggest data centres in the country. Basically if you have a mobile phone and have ever wondered "What the cloud actually is?" part of it is here, keeping all our pictures, music...and other stuff safe! The things that building must know....

Smashing it...

Steve one of our directors completed the York Marathon a few days ago....that's 26 whole miles in case you didn't know. There has been a permanent box of porridge oats and a bowl of eggs on his desk for weeks so he's taken it very seriously indeed. He managed an incredible time of 3hr 56mins and it's only his first one. Judging by his vest "No wimps allowed for sure" It was all in aid of the Samaritans too, HUGE well done from all of us!

ipcl Summer Newsletter

Welcome to our first Newsletter, its been a busy and exciting time so far here at ipcl....

Brand New.

Our full re brand with a freshen up of our current logo and the introduction of our new sparkly website thanks to Matt at Matt Creative couldn't be going better. There are a few self confessed dinosaurs amongst us here at head office but we have also been pulled into the 21st century with our new social media accounts too and as you can see our new blog as well. Lots of exciting changes and although we a bit biased we think it looks smashing so come over and say Hi and of course give us a follow.

Jobs a good un....

Our work continues on the Battersea Power Station, we really can't believe its already been 10mths on the project. We are currently installing a wide range of Rockwool products together with bespoke penetration seals being developed and approved alongside Rockwool owing to the unique nature of the project. It's a really good challenge and what we thrive on "Integrity built it" so no wonder the time is flying to completion.

Whilst in London this month we caught a few sites buzzing about our different projects from 'Telehouse' to 'Number One Blackfriars' to Cartwright Gardens which makes a change from Newcastle. Our work is now complete on "The Shard" which is one of the tallest and most iconic buildings in Europe if you didn't already know, however the view our boys have from South Bank Tower over the city and One Blackfrairs certainly means they need a head for heights.

New in. LDP

We received the very exciting news last week that we have secured the London Development Project which is great all round. Our Directors have already been scoping out the job this week and we can't wait to get stuck in.

Summers over.

The summer is nearly gone but it certainly has been a scorcher on most of our jobs in the past few weeks. Our top tweet this month HAS to be the below picture. When one of our lads lent on the wall in his 'Hi vis vest' for a few minutes...they even sweat ipcl! We are not surprised though, as our great team always complete the job even in tough conditions.

One step at a time...

In other news our director Steve is well into his training for the York Marathon now, the biscuit tin is not going down nearly as quick anymore. Good Luck to Steve, raising money for 'The Samaritans' a fantastic cause; we know you will smash it.

Our great client's 'Brookfield Multiplex' organised a charity golf match at St Albans a few weeks ago, Steve along with one of our other director's Graeme took part. A fantastic day was had by all and Steve only went and won nearest to the pin so he's having a good month indeed. Most importantly they raised a whopping £12,500 for the Willow Foundation who create really special days for seriously ill children.

We must give a mention our client 'Severfield' whose directors are doing the 3 peak challenge in aid of Prostate Cancer. That a challenge indeed and again for a fantastic cause. Best of luck to everyone taking part from all of us at ipcl.

Expanding

We would like to wish Kelsey our lovely receptionist best wishes as she goes on Maternity leave this month to add another member to the ipcl family; don't stay away too long. We also give a warm welcome our new member of staff Susanne who will be covering Kelsey while she is away.

Lots of exciting changes, stay tuned for our next Newsletter.
